DISNEY ANIMATION
DISNEY ANIMATION CAREERS
When I was really overthinking a sequence, my mentor told me condense the story into ten written beats. Using that technique helped me to reset and clarify what I was trying to say! Both my mentors have guided me towards prioritizing clarity in my boards.
Instead of trying to aim for what you think the studio will like, you should focus on putting forward something that you can genuinely stand behind and enjoy. I think trying to imbue your boards with something sincere, entertaining or unexpected is a worthwhile pursuit.
