Software Engineer Intern
Describe something that you learned from your mentor!

I definitely gained an immense amount of technical knowledge from my mentors, which is super exciting! I was amazed, however, to find that through the constant support they gave me and their faith in me, I also gained confidence in my skills and in my potential. That has been something I'll cherish from this summer.

Looking back to when you were applying, and knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself?

I honestly was not going to apply for this position, because I didn't think that I had the skillset required for it. Looking back, I would 100% tell myself to go for it and believe in myself! There will be a lot I don't know, but that means there's also a lot to learn.

What will you take away from your experience and how will you apply it?

I will take away a deeper knowledge of the software engineering side of animation, a newfound confidence in my skills, and friendships with people who are also passionate about the industry.

What are 3 words you would use to describe your internship/trainee experience?

Magical, Transformative, Fulfilling

What are you most proud of from your internship/trainee program?

Being able to dive into a project that I didn't know the solution to right off the bat, and one that was honestly a bit intimidating, to then figuring it out piece by piece

What do you like about working at Disney Animation?

I love the culture! It's unbelievable how welcoming and supportive of an environment this is. Disney Animation employees are both extremely talented and kind at the same time!

What was your favorite Disney movie growing up?

The Little Mermaid!
