Building Moana’s Kakamora Barge: You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat

A discussion of the production challenges and tools used in making the Kakamora barge, an enormous floating island filled with coconut-clad pirates. This required coordination across multiple departments and on-the-fly innovations. We designed and leveraged automation processes and procedural tools to allow for greater reuse and more creative design decisions.
