Production Training

Walt Disney Animation Studios is dedicated to continually raising the bar in animated filmmaking. The Production Training and Development team supports this goal by fostering a culture of life-long learning, providing opportunities for everyone to improve their craft, prepare for production needs and explore their creativity. The team provides training in individual animation disciplines as well as studio-wide education in filmmaking, art and storytelling. The team also offers training in tools and production workflow, in research and preparation for production work, leadership and diversity and inclusion training, learning resources and inspiration to our artists and all Disney Animation employees. Training is woven into the fabric of Disney Animation through classes, lectures, workshops, field trips and screenings. Resources include a Training Resource Center with books and films to borrow, a large Art Studio for creating, online learning resources and over 5,000 recordings of past lectures and classes.
