Collaboration between Information Services and Render Services teams

Animated Films are computationally intensive to render, and organizing resources to do so is a significant technical challenge. To tackle this challenge, we created Coda, our in-house batch queueing system that manages our render farm by distributing renders across all of the compute instances. Coda also provides a sophisticated web interface that allows artists to check the status of renders, view their logs, and even view the resulting images.
